This piece is our collection’s contribution to classic styles reinterpreted completely in a modern fashion, reflecting a modern interpretation of “ushak” design, sometimes spelled “Oushak” in our craft. Admirers of the craft will note a special new yarn that our Principal is proud to introduce to Oushak designs—a construction which has a notable weight and sheen to it in cool colors seldom seen in this style.

The colors are an unexpected and refreshing new contribution that lend an almost transitional beauty to these traditional floral patterns. The weave is particularly fine, too—a luxurious new contribution to Oushak designs, as the silk’s gentle, natural sheen and its play with the light.
