These vintage Indian Chief bookends were crafted in the early 20th century by Armor Bronze (New York, Massachusetts). Each bookend features an Indian chief bust in full headdress. Polychrome colors of green, burgundy and gold are well-executed and in fine, vintage condition.
Armor Bronze bookends are made of a bronze-clad plaster material. Each is decorated in polychrome paint and signed by the artist.
Each bookend is impressively sturdy, weighing nearly 5 pounds each. They measure 7" wide, 3.75" deep, and 8" high, making them functional and decorative for holding books or enhancing a study or office.
