This listing is for an antique Japanese Amida Nyorai Buddha statue.
This giltwood Buddha depicts a seated Buddha upon a lotus.
The carved detailing is quite incredible.
This carved figure was once part of a “zushi” shrine.
It dates to the late Edo Period.
This piece is quite gorgeous and the gold coloring is still vibrant.
Some signs of normal wear and age present.
One arm is missing.
The entire piece measures about 5.2 x 3.75 x 11.25 inches
