Four former students … Read more In the middle of the 20th century, Accolay was the setting for a true revolution in ceramics. Four former students of Alexandre Kostanda settled in the small village of Yonne in the mid-1940s. Many potters followed their example. For around forty years, the production of Accolay potters will be impressive, original and daring. This large bowl is a pretty piece in the production of the Accolay potters. Shaped like a round basket, it has a generous braided handle. The bottom of the piece is highlighted by a spiral. The enamelling is particularly successful between shades of brilliant green and dark brown. The bowl can be used as a pocket, table centerpiece, fruit basket or bathroom storage.



The basket cut is a nice size. It is an artistic production of the Accolay potters. It is signed intaglio on its base, Accolay and monogram. It is in very good condition. The enamel is shiny and nuanced.
