A Far-Eastern design adapted in 1731 by the painter Hoeroldt for August III, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland. Produced by A. Raynaud et Cie under their Céralène line in Limoges, France, this dinner plate features a central wicker basket overflowing with exotic blooms — chrysanthemums, bellflowers, and trailing vines — scattered across a brilliant white hard-paste porcelain ground and finished with a fine gilt rim.
