While the paint is newer and professionally applied, it compliments the age, rococo style and serpentine curves of this chest that dates back to the late 1700's. The layered painted finish has been distressed, creating aged character while revealing the natural wood below. Each drawer had two brass pulls making them easy to open and use. This strong and elegant oak dresser has been restored.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation (including drawer bottoms) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this large chest of drawers.
