It has been converted to electricity and a chain has been added so it can hang in a hallway or over a dining table. Originally, this was carried from room to room and placed on a table. It has had numerous repairs over its lifetime. The glass is not original and it is now structurally sound. The wiring can be easily removed and it can be then returned to its original function.
