A magnificent large 17.5" diameter stoneware display, centerpiece or fruit bowl. Iconic Mid-Century design, by Wishon-Harrell. Deep Terra-cotta color with rich brown swirl design, touches of black, olive green and slight iridescent green swirl to interior center.
Rare Southern California pottery piece from highly acclaimed studio potters, James Wishon & Jerry Harrell.

Wishon-Harrell pottery of La Jolla, CA. 1970s. Incised signature on the underside.
In great vintage condition. No chips or notable signs of wear. 17.5"diameter x 6.5"high.
Partnered at their first pottery location, named Wishon-Harrell Pottery, in California in 1971; they eventually settled in Muncie, Indiana in the mid-1980's. After Jerry Harrell passed away in the 1990's, the pottery went out of business. Their excellent pottery has become more and more popular over the intervening years.
