Here we have a large majolica white fish tureen with original ladle. This one is made by Bordallo Pinheiro. Fun sinuous curves, great texture and a darling face! However he does have a few issues.
PLEASE NOTE: There are two small chips on the lid (one on the rim and one on the tip of one fin). Also some glaze has flaked off the ladle handle, no pottery is missing, just white glaze. Lastly, there is one chip on the UNDERSIDE of his tail (seen in LAST PIC). Please examine the magnified photos and decide whether you can still love him even with his flaws. He's very cute and the chips are small, so this tureen might not be for the perfectionist. Perhaps take the ladle to a store and find a white nail polish that matches for a touch up? Or maybe a porcelain tub repair kit? Just a thought... thanks for looking!!! Box63

These aren't super noticeable since its white glaze on white pottery, please examine the photos. less
