An arresting 1940s parcel gilt two-part breakfront/ cabinet in the Venetian taste; paint decorated in shades of cornflower blue and gray against a backdrop of aged ivory. Both upper and lower cabinets feature faux marbre colonettes accented by gilt capitals and bases, a detail repeated in the pronounced base with elegantly detailed bracket feet. The base consists of a single drawer having bronze foliate pulls over two paneled doors, while the upper cabinet panels and sides feature patinated wire inserts. All original hardware; original key included. A truly sophisticated statement piece with perfectly aged character. See less
