While the look is very of the era, reminiscent of Scandinavian grandmasters, Whitefriars Glassworks was in business in the late 1840s and could not possibly be more British. Flint/Clear Glass Pitcher in the Glacier/Bark Pattern. Circa 1960s/70s. We think this small size is known as a "spirits pitcher", as in old gentlemen's clubs where a bottle of tonic water was delivered with a small pitcher of gin to mix your own cocktail. We hope the images do it justice because it's both lovely and sturdy. Any home bar deserves to serve in style.

Measures: 5.25" tall, 4.5" width to handle, 2.75" base diameter

In 1954 Geoffrey Baxter joined the design team, and launched his very successful textured glass range in 1967, which included bark vases, the banjo vase, and of course the drunken bricklayer vase. The Whitefriars factory closed in 1980.
