An unusually colorful and ornamental New England Sheraton mirror with wonderful bright gilding; this mirror features a fine eglomisé panel with a polychrome fruit bowl set in a landscape and centered in a surround with sponge painted motifs. The frame is composed of turned elements with handsome composition embellishments. Ca. 1820-1830. Some wear and signs of age, patinated areas, with black clay bole showing through in places, one corner with restoration, overall very good condition. Retains original speckled glass and wooden back.
