This antique blue stretch glass compote has a flared rim with a footed pedestal, circa 1920’s. The Stretch glass manufacturing period was after Carnival glass and approximately 16 years before Depression glass, similar colors were used between Stretch glass and Depression glass. The stretch glass will have either a cobweb iridescent effect (that is “stretch marks”) as shown in this piece here.
This is a nice antique piece with that striking iridescence and will make a great addition to a collection, complement a Depression glass collection or simply to an enthusiast of beautiful blue treasures!
