This industrial light was originally used in tunnels or exteriors where excluding dirt, moisture, and/or chemical vapors was required or where vibrations or rough usage was anticipated. . It has been modified into a hanging lantern that can be used for interior or exterior lighting. It accepts 1 standard base bulb (400 watts maximum). The Crouse-Hinds Company was one of the first to manufacture and install timed and integrated traffic signals in the early 1920's and specialized in industrial lighting.
