They are 13" in diameter, which is the perfect size for any size dinner plate (see photos #3 and #4).
The pattern is the glass itself, hence it isn't something that will flake or fade with time. You can feel its texture ( photo #2) on the underside of the charger. There is a slight variance on the pattern (photo #6) on the chargers that is only noticeable from a certain angle and not at all when dinner plates are on it. One has a tiny imperfection which is not rough to the touch. It seems to be within the glass itself and not noticeable when a dinner plate is in use (see photo #5). See less
