Item description:
antique pair of sculptures in vitrified polychrome hard-paste porcelain, depicting a lady with a sheep and a basket of flowers, and a gentleman with a dog, in 18th-century clothing, entirely decorated by hand. On the back there is a gold anchor, a mark used in the mid-18th century by the english manufacturer chelsea, so the pair can be dated to around 1750. The artistic quality of the two figurines is extremely high. Note the beauty of the clothes, entirely decorated by hand with a brush by the artist, the beauty of the pure gold finishes on the clothes, the poses of the subjects with their heads slightly tilted to one side, in full rococo style, with one hand gently stretched forward, as ladies and gentlemen were depicted in the 18th century. A real gem for art lovers and collectors.

information about the artist and/or manufacturer:
the chelsea factory was founded in london in 1745 and then acquired in 1784 by the famous derby factory (thus creating the new derby-chelsea factory).
the mark was used from 1750 to 1762, before the takeover by derby and the definitive change of all marks. We are talking about a pair of sculptures that are almost 300 years old, very ancient and important. In the photo immediately below this description, we have included historical notes on the manufacturer with the marks used. The mark on our pair is number 10, executed in either red or gold, as written in the notes in french under the marks.
