Fired to achieve the 'Satin Glass Finish' that Fenton chose for some of their rarer pieces.
Burmese glass is akin to uranium glass because it contains uranium oxide. When adding a gold tincture to the molten mix, a pink blush is achieved, which is what we see here

The cream colored glass with slight green tint and the pink meld, blend and distinguish accents such as the ruffle eloquently, yet the transition from one color to the other is almost imperceptible when examining up close which is a testament to the great skill taken in creating this piece and its quality.

The green, pink and blush brown hand painting is fired right into the finish as well as the signature.
