A Beautiful Wooden Stature of Madonna in a protective cloak. She is dedicted as a person who helps and protects faithful catholics under her cloak and is known as " The Madonna of Mercy". She is always ready to plead to Christ for mercy on behalf of those in physical or spiritual distress.. Hand carved out of wood with gold leaf and amazing colors.. It is in excellent condition with the exception of age and usage.
Provenance: Purchased by Alexander Sleght an American Diplomat to South America from the late 60's- 80's. He had an extensive collection of art and artifacts he had purchased through his travels.
