Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown orange and gold flecks Italian art glass scrapped rim bowl. Documented to designer Ercole Barovier for the Barovier e Toso company. Created with the Bullicante technique, with hundreds of bubbles within the layers of glass. The bowl still has 2 "Made In Italy" item number labels attached on the bottom. The label with the numbers is only partial, so hard to see the entire item number clearly. The bowl is profusely filled inside with heavy gold leaf. The gold clings to each bubble making them stand out, and creating a unique pattern. The body of the bowl has a ribbed design, with scalloped edge creating a flower shape. Would make a great display piece on any dinning / coffee table or credenza. Use it as a catchall, or use it as a fruit bowl. Mid-century era. Measures: 9 1/4" across x almost 3" tall.
