A charming mid-century still life painting that celebrates the beauty of everyday objects through colour and form, painted in oil onto board.
An elegant white teapot punctuates the center of the composition, accompanied by a basket of bananas, two mangoes, and some green pears resting on a wooden surface. The objects are placed against an abstract backdrop comprising varying shades of green.
The artist has used an uplifting and vibrant colour palette. The brushstrokes are deliberately smooth and the lines are clean, creating flat planes of colour that emphasise shape and balance over intricate detail.
This oil on board is housed in a complementary wood frame with an inner linen border. The painting is in excellent vintage condition. The frame has some scuffs and losses to its right edge but this is only visible when viewed from an angle. It is in good condition otherwise.
