Pair of Paris Empire Porcelain Vases from the early 19th century Dagoty
Beautiful, important pair of hand-painted Paris porcelain vases in the shape of Medici vases.
They present very elegant neoclassical motifs on their bodies: swans with spread wings and panoplies.
The upper part, the lower part and the side handles are all gilded with pure gold.
Given the quality of the porcelain and the decorations, we can very likely attribute this beautiful pair of vases to the important French manufacture of the Empire era "Dagoty à Paris".
This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
