This is a miniature replica of one of those huge antique French butcher blocks. Made in France where De Kercoet artisans have been crafting traditional fine wood chopping blocks and custom kitchen/dining furniture for over two decades.

So many stylish details: beautiful turned legs, scalloped apron on all sides, solid brass hardware and 3" thick removable end-grain cutting board. Very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use. I find one chip to the bottom rim of one foot and one chip to one corner. Please examine magnified photos and feel free to ask questions.

From the De Kercoet website, USE & CARE: Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and heat. Sudden changes in temperature and low humidity can cause warping and cracking. We recommend regular oiling of the end grain to nourish the fiber with oil compatible with food contact. Leave on for around eight hours, then absorb excess oil. (It is normal for the end grain to stain). For daily use, wipe with a clean, slightly damp sponge, then with a soft, dry cloth. Do not machine-wash cutting board. No direct contact with hot utensils. Solid brass is subject to aging.
