Beautiful and rare, vintage Murano hand blown purple and white ribbons Italian art glass decorative candle holder. The piece is documented to designer Archimede Seguso, circa 1952. Created in the "Merletto" technique, with scrambled glass ribbons in amethyst and white. The piece has a cupped top with candle holder, a large ball decoration in the middle, and a large flared out foot. The 3 pieces are connected with clear glass rods. There is an original red "Murano - Made In Italy" label attached underneath. Would make a great display piece on any coffee table, or credenza. Mid-century era. Collectors item! Measures 6 1/4" long x 6" wide x 2 3/8" high.
