Very ornate Art Nouveau Sydenham pattern … Read more Here we have a beautiful antique English covered serving dish by Burgess & Leigh. Very ornate Art Nouveau Sydenham pattern with gilt trim was introduced in 1905, however the hallmark tells me this vegetable dish dates to around 1912. The dish and lid are both in excellent condition, no chips nor cracks. There is some crazing and a couple of spots on the inside of the bowl as would be expected with age and use. The spots are minimal and may soak out with some hydrogen peroxide. Measures 14 inches wide handle to handle, 7 inches front to back and 6.5 inches tall to the tip of the glorious lid handle.
