Museum quality fine Mata Ortiz Casa Grande Olla Pottery Jar signed Chela Olivas.
A striking example of a Casa Grande pottery vase with a large belly, narrow neck, and wide lip decorated with black geometric patterns representing lightning bolts and optic geometric lines.
Large 10" tall by 9 1/2" at it's widest. Beautifully displayed with a wood tripod design stand. With the stand it is 10" wide by 13" tall.
Mata Ortiz is a small village in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The potters of Mata Ortiz create contemporary works of art, often incorporating Mimbres designs shared by the Southwest, Native American cultures.
