The artist is Jo Nelson, an American … Read more Vintage Home is pleased to present this stunning vintage Framed Assemblage entitled “Chivalry”. The artist is Jo Nelson, an American artist born in 1938, Nelson has lived in Palm Beach, Italy and New York and her Assemblage fine art has been shown in galleries worldwide. Her compositions are 3-Dimentional Assemblage under glass. They are Asian Chinoiserie motifs and usually include a Mahjong Tile and Counting Stick, a Chinese coin, and a fish bone vertebra that represents Good Luck and Good Fortune in the Chinese culture. This one also features a carved jade Dragon, a bone etched and mahogany Chop Stick, a carved bone Butterfly, vintage and antique fabrics and trim framed in split bamboo sticks, two carved wood antique paper clips and a decorative medallion. The Assemblage is presented behind glass in a gold toned wood frame. Nelson has sign the piece on one of the bamboo sticks. Please note, there are some light reflections on the glass. JBN
