Design by Jac. van den Bosch for 't Binnenhuis Amsterdam. Striking Dutch design from the 1900s. Solid patinated ash frame with original hand-carved decorative elements. Marked with original manufacturers metal tag and brandmark. In very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. This wonderful library chair or library steps by Jac. van den Bosch for 't Binnenhuis Amsterdam was part of a complete bedroom suite which was designed for the house of one of the major clients of 't Binnenhuis, Merchant Bernhard Israël Catz at the Jan Luijkenstraat 29 in Amsterdam. This piece has an attribution mark,
