A Fine Antique Royal Crown Derby Soup Tureen With Underliner, England, Circa 1810
Marked by the Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Co, with a red crown and a "D" hand painted mark. The mark indicates it was made after 1784 to 1824, however the red colour mark was used after 1806 to 1824. Marked on the underside of the tureen, and the underliner. Marked in red with a #39, indicating it's pattern number.
Circular urn shaped tureen, with a lid, and underliner. Floral Imari type decorations. White earthenware clay body. Hand painted decorations, with gold and cobalt blue colours.
Size: 12" across round tray, 10 3/4" across tureen, 12" tall overall.
Condition: Staining from use, and hairlines, No chips. Use and wear marks from age. See pictures.
