Great piece of American studio art pottery. Definitely in the manner of Robert Turner, but at best, we can only say 'attributed' as it's unsigned.
Finely crafted, skillfully wheel thrown stoneware vessel with hand altered details that include deep finger impressions, scribed lines and a tear to the mouth. The piece is very sculptural in nature and is finished in an earthy, 1960s glaze palette.
Measures 8.5"x 7". In excellent, undamaged condition, no chips or cracks. Has some foot wear. Unsigned, undated.
