The sleek … Read more A set of three French vases in the Art Deco style with their original Puiforcat of Paris boxes. The sleek cone-shaped vessels in silver-plate with cobalt blue crystal ring accents were likely made in the 1980s during the Post Modern period. The design clearly references the earlier Art Deco creations of Jean E. Puiforcat (1897–1945) whose work was characterized by modern geometric forms with mirror-like surfaces and unique embellishments, combining silver with glass, wood, and/or semi-precious stones.

This vase grouping can be displayed and used in two ways so be sure to view all photos as each comes with an additional dark wooden square base or plinth that attaches securely (and detaches) with a screw. Each vase is very good condition with faint polishing marks; the medium sized example has two small dark marks above the crystal ring. All bear the Puiforcat EP maker’s mark alongside PUIFORCAT FRANCE near the foot rim. The boxes show more wear but remain intact.
