Made in Mexico City during the mid-20th century, Felipe, an accomplished glass blower created "imprisoned glass" sometimes called caged glass by welding brass metal with diamond, square, or circle cutouts into the cylinder and then blowing molten glass into the cylinder so that it bulged out of the cutouts. The metal is then discolored with intense heat to give the blackened look you see today.

The cobalt blue pitcher is 11" tall and the shot glasses are approximately 4" tall. Four each blue, green, and amber. See less
