A lithography by the German artist Peter Paul (born 1943). This lithograph depicts an abstracted view of the campanile of St. Marks in Venice. The piece sits in a black frame and brown mat and is signed on the bottom right. A hand-written part of the print is located center left.
Paul studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Berlin and Hamburg during the 1960s. While a student, he studied under David Hockney, Allen Jones, and Paul Wunderlich. After studying at the Institute of Fine Arts in Hamburg, Paul taught graphic art there from 1969 to 1974. In 1974, he won the Prize of Rome and in 1991, a retrospective of his work was held at the Deutschland Kunstverein in Augsburg, Germany.
