Offered is a hand-painted and burnished glaze vintage circa. late 1960s, early 1970s green floral pitcher or vase made in Tonalá, Jalisco Mexico, a province renowned for its earth-tone clay and for all the pottery and ceramic art created since the 1950s.
This pitcher measures approximately 5.5" across 5.5" in diameter, 6.75" in height, and is created with a creamy light green undercoat and the body is embellished with a blue-petaled and brown flower (native to the region), and decorative flourishes, brush strokes and squiggles in black..

There is a minor chip along the rim of the mouth, however, it was painted and glazed. It appears that several air bubbles also burst during the drying process. Please see photos. Any imperfections in the craftsmanship are innate, and any wear is commensurate with the object's age and past handling. less
