He showed signs of his … Read more Bjørn Wiinblad (1918 - 2006) was a Danish painter, designer, set designer and visual artist. He showed signs of his talent for drawing and creating imaginative worlds from a very early age. At the age of 17 he began an apprenticeship as a typographer, but soon realized that his heart beat for art. from 1940 to 1943 he studied painting and illustration at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen. Since 1957, Wiinblad was chief designer at Rosenthal AG for over 49 years. Although Bjørn Wiinblad was born in Copenhagen, his style was anything but Danish. While functionalism dominated Denmark, Wiinblad's works were dominated by bold colors and outlined figures with large, round faces with saucer eyes and pointed noses, often in a natural setting with delicate vines, flower wreaths and stylized trees

Hans-Theo Baumann has had a decisive influence on design in the Federal Republic of Germany from the post-war period to the present day. His designs can be found everywhere: in our kitchens, dining rooms and living rooms in the form of furniture, dishes, glassware and cutlery. The objects he designed are characterized by clear lines and high functionality. His designs have been realized by leading companies around the world, and his work as President of the Association of German Industrial Designers has significantly shaped the designer's professional profile.
