It features a man and woman flirting with each other as they enjoy a bicycle ride in the park. The chromolithograph originally appeared as a story illustration in a French periodical that featured articles about events and news of the time. It is entitled “End of the 19th Century Flirtation”. The tender romantic moment is apparent. The chromolithograph is signed and illustrated by George Delbruck. It is an extremely clean image with soft color tones. Sport related images are increasingly difficult to find in pristine condition with the passage of time. This is a beautiful antique illustration print which is evocative of the period. Pristine condition with no discoloration, rips, tears or age markings. 10 x 14 inches in size. It is original to 1893 and NOT a recent reproduction. Perfect for those who love their bikes!
