Many of the intertwined figures depicted in this piece are holding axes and tools - perhaps a reference to the highly skilled craftsmen who made the sculpture. In outstanding condition, the black stain contrasts with the exposed wood to create a sleek finish, truly deserving of this outstanding craftsmanship. Approx date: c.
