An intriguing pair of painted plaster gargoyles in wonderfully worn shades of green. The gargoyles used to hang from small hooks to the base of each so they appeared to be hanging as if they were on notre dame cathedral. Wonderfully unique with crisp moldings and excellent artistic flair to the decoration. One of the gargoyles has been signed to the reverse. From the estate of the late great ann broadbent. Continental, circa 1930.
