This striking studio craft piece pairs a beautifully shaped solid walnut base with a classic cast iron saddle seat, blending functional seating with sculptural form. The organically carved wooden supports highlight the craftsmanship of the American studio furniture movement of the early 1970s. Both functional and artistic, this stool works well as an artist’s stool, desk chair, or statement accent in a modern or mid-century interior and the seat is superbly comfortable.
