Molded perimeter with protruding sections … Read more Small Mannerist frame in ebony with commissary marble, Italy 16th - first half 17th century. Molded perimeter with protruding sections at the corners, 4 reserves in violet stain slab marble, molded octagonal frame placed in the center originally decorated with 4 small turned elements on the sides, 2 present with lacks while 2 completely absent, oval light. Restoration interventions of the late nineteenth century, added the oak bottom and replaced some ebony frames. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
