A beautiful bowl with gold embossed detailing, circa early 20th century, Japan. Gilded golden garlands adorn the scalloped edge. Rare design Nippon bowl features romantic Victorian roses motif with bright green and hand painted gold Art Nouveau highlights throughout. Piece can be used for entertaining, or catchall bowl for kitchen island, coffee table, or credenza. Displays beautifully for a table setting, indoors or out. Signed on the base (green stamp) - Japan - circa 1911-21. With makers' mark on reverse "Nippon" and "Hand Painted".
