Hand-made from 100% hand-spun wool and 100% natural dyes by Glaoui tribe weavers of the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. Extremely durable. Great for high traffic areas - the most durable rug you will find!

The area of Morocco where this rug was made is one of the few places where traditional dying processes using plants and tree nuts, and also hand-spinning wool are still in use. To find a contemporary rug made using hand-spun wool and natural plant dyes is very rare as the time and cost for production is higher and there are fewer weavers who are skilled at these techniques than in the past.
