Monika Maetzel
Ceramic artist born in Hamburg in 1917.
1936-1938 Hamburg State Art School.
1938-1941 studied in Munich at the Academy of Fine Arts with Professors Sattler, Klein and Wackerle.
1942-1946 in Fredelsloh as an employee of Helma Klett.
1944 Master's examination in Hildesheim.
In 1947 she founded her own workshop in her parents' house, which she ran independently for more than 50 years.
Areas of work: vessel ceramics, small sculptures, wall ceramics.
