Handwoven in wool, this 8x10 contemporary rug by Rug & Kilim is inspired by antique Tudor rugs, flatweaves and tapestries—a new unveiling from the European rug collection.
On the Design:
As inspired by English Tudor rugs and tapestries, this modern rug is from the earliest custom works by Jahanshah Nazmiyal that started this collection, released for the first time. With cream and gold field design, this rug features floral patterns in teal, green and red with gold accents. Keen eyes for detail may admire a high-and-low texture and the skill it takes to execute these fine curves in the floral patterns on such a large scale. The design enjoys a refined approach to a classic, painterly look with a beautiful blend of colors in floral patterns.
