This is a Great Looking Authentic Antique American Victorian Ottoman - Footstool. Circa Mid 19th Century. The Base is Mounted with 3 Very Heavy - Sturdy Cast Iron Legs - Feet that are Rendered in the Classic Mid Victorian Style. It has a Substantial Weight of Well Over 14 Pounds. Note that Each Leg has the Words "PRAIRIE FLOWER" - Possibly a Iron Foundry Name ?. The Iron Legs Still Retain what Appears to Possibly be the Original Gold Paint that has Aged Over the Years to Resemble Bronze. The Velvet or Velour ? Upholstery Top is Very Old but Upon Observation I can See that it Appears to be Covering the Original Upholstery Still Underneath ?. The Stool is in Very Strong - Sturdy - Perfectly Usable Condition. The Upholstery is Aged Etc. - Could Possibly be Salvaged ? or Could Just be Reupholstered to Suit Your Needs.
It Measures Overall Approx. 11 inches Tall.
