The stout form with finely executed traditional motifs on wonderful display throughout. Top with beaded edge above an open floral frieze apron. Each leg with a strikingly animalistic dimensional hip, and ball & claw foot. Legs joined by subtly bowed, appropriately robust crosspieces. The 11.5" diameter inset marble top with dynamic patterning distinguished by evenly distributed terracotta-red veining against a white, tan, and brown ground. Nicely complements the wood’s inherent and naturally acquired warm, rich tones with a reddish-brown with an almost ebonized patina that gives the carved details additional visual depth. In good vintage condition with a minor wear, some patina and a hefty weight of 25lbs. See less
