This elegant lay figure mannequin is an articulated model from Sarreid Ltd, a testament to 20th century Spanish artistry. Primarily used by artists to depict the human form. Hand carved of wood representing a simplified human figure designed to help artists study proportions, poses, and movement. This striking piece showcases a one-piece carved wooden head and upper torso, complete with an oval-shaped face, aquiline nose, defined eye sockets, closed mouth, and carved ears. The elongated throat and muscular upper torso add to its lifelike quality. The ball-swivel waist and dowel-jointing at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles provide an array of posing options, while the separately carved fingers enhance its realism. In great vintage condition. Left leg is mobile but stiff. Minor hairline crack on wood.
