The lower doors … Read more This bookcase has three glazed upper doors over three drawers and then three carved panel lower doors. The lower doors are highly carved and show various rural settings with people. There are many carved elements of: flowers, fruit, leaves, 1/2 busts, and lion heads, throughout the bookcase. The finish is medium brown oak. The inner drawers and bookcase components are solid oak and joined with dovetail construction. The drawers have drop handles. The doors have figured key hole plates along with several keys. This bookcase is all original and in excellent antique condition. There are a profusion of inner shelves which are adjustable. The top is separate from the base (for movement).
