It is known worldwide for its fine art lithography printing, and one of their most important contributions was to be the art poster. Beginning in the 1930's Fernand Mourlot invited the major master artists of the time into the lithography studio to learn the medium of printing together. Encouraging the artists to work directly on the lithography plates to create original prints and posters in limited editions. The results of this artistic collaboration between master artists and Mourlot became internationally known for their originality, beauty, and exquisite craftsmanship.

This fine art lithograph poster is one of the most iconic and and desirable of the collaboration and long lasting partnership between the artist Matisse and Atelier Mourlot who together would create many important art posters. The rare out of print framed Paris exhibition poster print measures 19 3/4" W X 26 1/2" H X 1 1/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern matte eggshell finish black wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in very good condition The poster print is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, light to moderate signs of handling, and some light to moderate visible surface wear.
