Hollis Baker always had the best help when it came to design. T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings and Albert Hadley assited him often. So the design of this chair is Chippendale but a departure from the typical clawed foot.
This chair has a Camel back, sheperds crook arms, and padded feet. Every leg is cabriole. The front pair are acanthus carved. They employed a nail head chisel to give added texture to the surface and depth to ones personal impression upon observation. As a footnote brass tacks were used on the cambrick below.
