It is original … Read more This is an original Mid-Century French advertisement for Christian Dior Miss Dior parfum that dates to 1950. It is original to the date and is NOT a recent reproduction print. Miss Dior is the first fragrance created by Christian Dior and its floral bouquet was said to have revolutionized the perfume industry. It embodied the couterier's mark in history. It was the "grand perfume of our time". And Rene Gruau captures the essence of the perfume in this image. This print appeared in a 1950 French magazine. It has iconic Gruau elements of strong graphic styling and allure. Signed by Gruau with his signature intial "g" in upper right corner. Gruau had a long career. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit and continued for many years even after Dior's death in 1957. This image captures the creative genius of the 2 men. Perfect for bathroom, dressing room, or bedroom decor. Rare image....first time we have this image in our collection. 9 x 12.25 inches in size.
